Will BITS reduce the syllabus for BITSAT 2021?

BITSAT Exam is conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science. BITSAT online test is a highly competitive exam conducted annually for admission into various engineering courses offered by BITS Pilani Campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.

BITSAT 2021 Application Form and Online Registration

Online Registration for BITSAT 2021 is likely to start from February or March 2021. Candidates need to fill the online application form at BITSAT website after reading all the instructions and eligibility criteria.

BITSAT Exam Pattern 2021

BITSAT 2021 exam will be held in computer-based online mode only. Along with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, there will be questions from English and Logical Reasoning also. The total duration of the BITSAT Online Test is 3 hours.

Physics: Total 40 Questions of 3 marks each.
Chemistry: Total 40 Questions of 3 marks each.
Mathematics: Total 45 Questions of 3 marks each.
English: Total 15 Questions of 3 marks each.
Logical Reasoning: Total 10 Questions of 3 marks each.
Negative marking: 1 mark is deducted for incorrect answer.

After finishing all 150 questions, A candidate can opt for 12 Extra questions.

Each day the exam will be conducted in two slots. The first slot will be from 9.00 am till 12.00 noon and the second slot will be from 2.00pm till 5.00pm. A candidate can choose anyone out of these two slots based on the availability.

Eligibility Criteria for BITSAT 2021

For admission to any of the First Degree programmes of BITS except B.Pharm.(Hons.): Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and adequate proficiency in English.

For admission to B.Pharm.(Hons.): Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and adequate proficiency in English. However candidates with PCM may also apply for Pharmacy program.

The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) subjects in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics / Biology subjects.

Only Students who are appearing for 12th examination in 2021 or who have passed 12th Examination in 2020 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2021 test.

Direct Admission to Board Toppers: First rank students of all the central and state boards in India for the year 2021 will be given direct admission to the program of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT-2021 score as per the eligibility criteria mentioned above.

BITSAT Previous Years Papers

Please note that BITS never officially releases previous years question papers. BITSAT exam is conducted in online mode for some specific number of days and the different sets of questions are randomly asked in the paper each day. Any publisher or online website which claims they have past years questions papers of BITSAT are just mock tests based on students' memory.
