NEET-UG 2019 Online Registration, Information Bulletin

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is a single medical entrance examination for Admission to MBBS and BDS courses in all medical colleges (except AIIMS and JIPMER) around the country. The exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in May 2019.

NEET-UG 2019 entrance test will be conducted for the 100% merit positions in the Medical/Dental Colleges of India. There are also State Governments/Universities/Institutions participating in the NEET-UG 2019 for using its merit list for admission in the Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges against seats under their control.

August 21, 2018 : HRD ministry has reverted the decision of conducting NEET 2019 twice a year in computer-based mode. NEET 2019 will be a single exam in pen and paper mode, just like previous years.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2019 will be conducted on May 5, 2019 between 02:00 p.m to 05:00 p.m.

NEET 2019 online registration begins. You can fill online application form for NEET 2019 from 1st November 2018 to 30th November 2018.

Update November 29, 2018 :The date for submission of online Application Form for NEET 2019 has been extended by one week i.e. from 30.11.2018 to 07.12.2018 and fee payment from 01.12.2018 to 08.12.2018.

Last date to fill NEET 2019 application form is 7th December 2018.

How to Apply for NEET 2019 Exam

  • Candidates can apply ONLY ONLINE on NTA NEET website. Read the instructions carefully before applying for NEET 2019.
  • Online Application Form cannot be withdrawn once it is submitted successfully.
  • The candidate is NOT required to submit printout of the Confirmation Page to the NTA.
  • The upper age limit for NEET is 25 years as on the date of examination with relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST category. [This is no longer valid as Supreme Court has allowed medical aspiring candidates above the age of 25 years to appear in the NEET UG 2019 exam.]

NEET 2019 Exam Pattern

NEET 2019 entrance test shall consist of one paper of duration 03 hours.

Sections: Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology)
Total No. Of Questions: 180 Objective type questions
Physics : 45 questions
Chemistry : 45 questions
Biology (Botany + zoology) : 90 questions

Each question carry 4 marks for every correct answer. There is also negative marking, deducting 1 mark for every wrong answer.

NEET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-technology at the qualifying examination.

For Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General candidates. Further, for persons for locomotor disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required.

Those who are appearing in Class XII examination in 2019 can appear for the NEET-UG 2019 entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later. He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.
