Latest News : NEET 2020 Postponed Again. NEET 2020 new exam date is 13th September, 2020.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is a single medical entrance examination for Admission to MBBS and BDS courses in all medical colleges (including AIIMS and JIPMER) around the country.

Note : Admission to MBBS courses in AIIMS and JIPMER will be through the common national entrance test NEET-UG from 2020.

NEET-UG 2020 Postponed Again [New Exam Date]

Due to the coronavirus epidemic, NTA has postponed the NEET-UG 2020 examination scheduled to be held on the 26th July 2020. The NEET-UG exam will now be conducted on 13th September 2020. The dates of downloading the Admit Cards indicating Roll Number and the Centre of the examination will be displayed 15 days before the conduct of the examination.

NEET 2020 Correction in Application Form [New]

On demand from various candidates regarding correction in candidate particulars and choice of centre cities in the online application forms for NEET-UG 2020, NTA is providing an another opportunity for correction in online application form, including choice of centre cities, from 04/07/2020 to 15/07/2020 (extended to 20/07/2020). The candidates are advised to visit the NTA NEET website and verify their particulars and make necessary corrections wherever required.

NEET 2020 Change in Exam Pattern

There is no change in NEET 2020 exam pattern. NEET 2020 entrance test shall consist of one paper of duration 03 hours.

Sections: Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology)
Total No. Of Questions: 180 Objective type questions
Physics : 45 questions
Chemistry : 45 questions
Biology (Botany + zoology) : 90 questions

Each question carries 4 marks for every correct answer. There is also negative marking, deducting 1 mark for every wrong answer.

NEET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology at the qualifying examination.

For Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology taken together in qualifying examination will be 40% instead of 50% marks for Unreserved and General-EWS candidates.

Those who are appearing in Class XII examination in 2020 can appear for the NEET-UG 2020 entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later. He/ she has completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December of the year of his/ her admission to the 1st year MBBS/ BDS Course.

Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons with Indian Origin (PIO) & Foreign Nationals are eligible to appear in NEET-UG 2020. Indian Citizens/ Overseas Citizens of India intending to pursue MBBS/ BDS from a foreign Medical/ Dental Institute need to qualify NEET-UG 2020.
