Is KVPY SX question paper and SB question paper the same?
Yes, they are same.
Can I write the KVPY exam again even after qualifying the first time?
Yes. That way you can improve your rank also.
What is the marking scheme and total marks for KVPY SA?
Part I: 4 subjects (PCMB). Each subject has 15 questions with marking scheme +1/-0.25. Total Question : 60, Total marks : 60.
Part II: 4 subjects (PCMB). Each subject has 5 questions with marking scheme +2/-0.5. Total Question : 20, Total marks : 40.
In KVPY SA, is it mandatory to answer all sections?
Yes. You need to attempt all subjects in both part-I and part-II.
What is the marking scheme and total marks for KVPY SX/SB?
Part I: Choose any 3 of 4 subjects(PCMB). Each subject has 20 questions with marking scheme +1/-0.25. Total marks 60.
Part II: Choose any 2 of 4 subjects(PCMB). Each subject has 10 questions with marking scheme +2/-0.5. Total marks 40.
In KVPY SX/SB, is it mandatory to answer all sections?
No. In Section A, you can answer 3 out of the 4 subjects; while in Section B, you’re expected to answer any 2 out of the 4.
How can we check our marks in the KVPY test?
After the KVPY interview results will be out (in the month of March), A facility will be provided to check your marks.
Can I check, what answers have I marked in KVPY online examination?
No, you can get your marks only, that is after KVPY interview results.
Will there be more than one correct type questions in KVPY?
No, there are no such type of questions in KVPY SA, SX or SB.
Will there be negative marking in KVPY exam?
Part 1: 1 mark question, negative marking is -0.25 for every wrong answer.
Part 2: 2 mark question, negative marking is -0.5 for every wrong answer.
Will the rough sheets provided in KVPY online test?
Yes, you will be provided rough sheets and in case you need extra, you can ask the invigilator for more.
Can I use a calculator in KVPY online examination?
You don’t need to bring a physical calculator, there will be a calculator option on your screen which you can use when needed. It will be a non-programmable one (can calculate square roots, cube roots, logarithms, trigonometric functions, etc).
