NTSE Syllabus - Math, Science, SST, MAT
Students preparing for NTSE should know the complete syllabus of NTSE stage 1 and stage 2. NTSE syllabus is divided into two parts - MAT and SAT, with equal weightage. NTSE SAT syllabus contains topics of Science, Math and SST (Social Science). NTSE MAT consists of verbal and non-verbal reasoning.
Note : There is no prescribed syllabus of NTSE by NCERT. The NTSE exam is conducted on the basis of NCERT class 9 and 10 syllabus.

NTSE Stage-1 Syllabus
For NTSE Stage 1, each state may have a different syllabus. Check your State/UT previous year NTSE question papers and do the analysis. Some states conduct the NTSE stage 1 exam based on state board syllabus while others conduct the exam on the basis of NCERT syllabus.

Is NTSE stage 1 and 2 syllabus the same?
NTSE Stage-1 and 2 syllabus is almost the same for MAT and SAT papers. In the NTSE Stage-1 SAT paper, there may be some questions of Math, Science and Social Science from the State Board syllabus. Students can verify this by checking their State/ UT NTSE Stage-1 previous year papers.
Is Class 10 syllabus enough for NTSE?
NTSE syllabus consists of class 10 and 9 NCERT syllabus of Math, Science and Social Science. For NTSE, candidates should have strong basic concepts of Math and Science till class 10.
Do NTSE syllabus change every year?
No, NTSE syllabus doesn’t change every year. NTSE SAT paper asks questions on the basis of NCERT syllabus of class 9 and 10.
