JIPMER 2019 entrance examination for MBBS course will be conducted on June 2nd, 2019 in two shifts - Morning Shift : 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM, Afternoon Shift : 03.00 PM to 05.30 PM.

JIPMER MBBS 2019 Online Registration

Online registration for JIPMER 2019 entrance exam have started from March 6th, 2019. You can fill the online application form for JIPMER 2019 from 6th March 2019 to 12th April 2019.

JIPMER MBBS 2019 Exam Pattern

The Mode of JIPMER Examination is Online based Distributed Object System Examination consisting of 200 single best response types multiple choice questions.

The pattern of JIPMER MBBS Entrance Examination is
Duration: 2.5 hrs (150 mins),
Physics: 60 Questions,
Chemistry: 60 Questions,
Biology: 60 Questions,
Logic and Quantitative Reasoning: 10 Questions &
English and Comprehension: 10 Questions.

Four marks will be awarded for each correct answer. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

The questions for JIPMER MBBS Entrance Examination will be based on the syllabus as prescribed by State Board Hr. Sec. and CBSE for XI & XII Standards.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to JIPMER MBBS Course

  • The Applicant should be an Indian National / Overseas Citizen of India.
  • He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December 2019, the year of his/her admission to the first year M.B.B.S i.e. they should have been born on or before 01-01-2003.
  • The applicants should have passed the qualifying examinations in the manner as mentioned below:

    The Higher / Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher / Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) or any other elective with English.

    The applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology at the qualifying examination for general (UR) / EWSs category.

    Applicants who have appeared or will be appearing in the qualifying Examination in March / April 2019 and whose results have NOT yet been declared can also apply for admission.

JIPMER MBBS 2019 Admission Process

Admission to the MBBS course in JIPMER is made every year. Call for applications will be announced in the month of March every year. Online registration of application will be made on JIPMER website.

Duration of the MBBS course is 4 years and 6 months followed by ONE year of Compulsory Rotatory Internship.

Number of Seats : JIPMER CAMPUS PUDUCHERRY(JCP) - 145+5* (*Exclusive for OCI/NRI), JIPMER CAMPUS KARAIKAL(JCK) - 50.

The applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology at the qualifying examination. For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Classes / OPH the minimum marks obtained in the Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology taken together in the qualifying examination is 50%.
