JIPMER MBBS Admission 2020
Admission to MBBS Course for 150 seats at JIPMER Puducherry and 50 seats at JIPMER Karaikal is through a Common Entrance Examination conducted by JIPMER at various centers across India once a year. Online registration for JIPMER MBBS entrance exam will start in the month of March every year.

Given below is the JIPMER exam pattern 2020. Exam Mode : Online (Computer-Based Test). Questions Type : Multiple choice questions. Total Questions : 200. Total Marks : 800. Exam Duration : 2.5 hours (150 Minutes). Negative Marking : Yes.

Four marks will be awarded for each correct answer. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
The questions for JIPMER MBBS Entrance Examination will be based on the syllabus as prescribed by State Board Hr. Sec. and CBSE for XI & XII Standards.
Eligibility Criteria for JIPMER Exam (Admission to MBBS Course)
- The Applicant should be an Indian National / Overseas Citizen of India.
- He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December 2020, the year of his/her admission to the first year MBBS.
- The applicants should have passed the qualifying examinations : The Higher / Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate
Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher / Senior Secondary Examination
after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising Physics,
Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these
subjects) or any other elective with English.
- The applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology /
Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50%
marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology at the
qualifying examination for general (UR) / EWSs category.
- Applicants who have appeared or will be appearing in the qualifying
Examination in March / April 2020 and whose results have NOT yet been
declared can also apply for admission.
Number of MBBS Seats in JIPMER for 2020-21 Session
Number of Seats : JIPMER CAMPUS PUDUCHERRY(JCP) - 145+5* (*Exclusive for OCI/NRI), JIPMER CAMPUS KARAIKAL(JCK) - 50.
From a total of 200 MBBS seats, 13 seats are reserved for newly added EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) category. 10 seats are available in the JIPMER, Puducherry campus and 3 seats are available in Karaikal campus of the institution.
Duration of the MBBS course is 4 years and 6 months followed by ONE year of Compulsory Rotatory Internship.

JIPMER MBBS 2020 Complete Information Information Bulletin (Prospectus) will be available from March 2020. JIPMER 2020 entrance examination for MBBS course will be conducted in June 2020 in two shifts - Morning Shift : 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM, Afternoon Shift : 03.00 PM to 05.30 PM.
