Admission to MBBS courses in AIIMS will be through NEET-UG entrance test. AIIMS is not conducting any UG entrance examination from year 2020 onwards. NEET is the only entrance exam to MBBS & few other UG medical courses in AIIMS institutes (New Delhi, Bathinda, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Deogarh, Gorakhpur, Jodhpur, Kalyani, Mangalagiri, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur, Rae Bareli, Rishikesh and Telangana).

How Many MBBS Seats in AIIMS New Delhi?

125 seats for Indian Nationals and 7 seats for Foreign Nationals are available for admission to MBBS course in AIIMS New Delhi. The reservation policy followed will be 7.5% ST, 15% SC, 27% OBC and 10% EWS for Indian Nationals.

Eligibility and Qualification Required for AIIMS MBBS Admission

Age: Should have attained or will attain the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on the 31st of December of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit in AIIMS.

Essential Qualification: Should have passed the 12th Class under the 10+2 Scheme/ Senior School Certificate Examination (CBSE) or Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent examination of a recognised University/ Board of any Indian State with ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY.

Minimum marks in aggregate: The minimum aggregate of the marks in ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY obtained in the qualifying examination required for appearing in this examination are :
General and OBC candidates: 60%      SC/ST/PWBD Candidates: 50%

AIIMS Exam Pattern

Given below is the AIIMS exam pattern. Exam Mode : Online (Computer-Based Test). Questions Type : Objective type (multiple choice and reason-assertion type). Total Questions : 200. Total Marks : 200. Exam Duration : 3.5 hours (210 Minutes). Negative Marking : Yes.

Standard of Examination: The general standard of the Competitive Entrance Examination is that of 12th class under the 10+2 Scheme/Intermediate Science. No syllabus has been prescribed by the Institute for the examination.

Marking Scheme: Each incorrect response will get a score of -1/3 (minus-one-third), Each correct response will get a score of 1 mark and, No credit will be given for the questions not answered, More than one response will be treated as wrong answer and negatively marked.
