Latest Update :<\/strong> As per this tweet by All India Radio News<\/a>, the education minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that there is no proposal to merge NEET, JEE and CUET.<\/p>\n

The UGC (Higher Education Regulating Body of India) has set up a committee to explore ways to combine the JEE<\/a> (Engineering Entrance Exam), NEET<\/a> (Medical Entrance Exam), CUET<\/a> (Common University Entrance Test) and hold CUET twice a year.<\/p>\n

Here we are answering the queries of students and parents about the news related to JEE and NEET merger with CUET.<\/p>\n

Will JEE NEET be merged with CUET?<\/h2>\n

As of now JEE and NEET are not merged with CUET. UGC has proposed the merger of JEE and NEET with CUET and it\u2019s at a very initial stage. Keep in mind that not all UGC proposals and recommendations are approved by the government and the education ministry.<\/p>\n

Why are JEE NEET considered to be merged with CUET?<\/h3>\n

According to UGC chairperson M Jagadesh Kumar, merging JEE Main and NEET with CUET will reduce the burden on students, and it\u2019s in tune with the National Education Policy of one nation one entrance exam.<\/p>\n

Will NEET and JEE merge with CUET in 2023?<\/h3>\n

JEE and NEET will not be merged with CUET in 2023. There is not enough time remaining in the current academic session for such a big change. The National Testing Agency (NTA) and all stakeholders must be well-prepared before the new common entrance test is launched for students.<\/p>\n

JEE NEET CUET merge from which year?<\/h3>\n

The idea of merging JEE and NEET with CUET has not been finalized yet and is unlikely to be considered in near future. The UGC will form an expert committee that will examine the existing entrance examination processes and will look for the possibility of one single entrance exam.<\/p>\n

Should JEE and NEET be combined with CUET?<\/h3>\n

There is a huge difference between the difficulty level of JEE Main, NEET and CUET. According to experts, merging JEE and NEET with CUET is not a good idea and will affect the quality of students entering engineering and medical colleges.<\/p>\n

As per this poll by Times Now Education, the majority of people (students, parents and teachers) don\u2019t want JEE and NEET-UG to be merged with CUET.<\/p>\n
