Like previous years, this year too, many IITians, engineering and medical students from prestigious institutes published examination tips and advice for JEE\/ NEET preparation on Mystudycart platform.<\/p>\n
Here we are sharing 2019 summary of some of the best tips from the students who cleared JEE\/ NEET, <\/strong>and now helping and guiding future aspirants.<\/p>\n Start whatever task you are planning to do later, right away. It might seem hard, but do it. Do it until you are satisfied with what you have done. Do it even after the temporary motivation wears off. Once you feel that this is your normal state of being, start planning your time table.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Rohit A (IIT Kharagpur) Don\u2019t spend your precious time in listening or watching motivational videos of blah blah. Until you don\u2019t do your work, they will be of no use. Set your schedule and jump in intense preparation phase.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Jyoti Choudhary (631\/720 in NEET 2017) First and the foremost is that you should have a good theoretical knowledge of everything (\u2018most\u2019 to be realistic) which is in your syllabus. That means that whenever you see a question, you should have a fair idea about \u2018What topic, the question revolves around\u2019 and what are the probable concepts which you can use to solve that question.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Abhishek Garg (AIR 760 in NEET 2018) Always revise the topics taught on a particular day on that day itself. It will do two things, first your understanding would be strong enough that you don\u2019t forget about it sooner and second that it will avoid the chances of that topic getting added to the list of your backlogs which otherwise will haunt you throughout your preparations.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Abhay Singh (IIT-Guwahati) Never keep your doubt\u2019s pending, they simply keep piling up and disappear into nothingness. You forget your doubt\u2019s in due course of time and remember however silly it might seem to be, it has a potential to ruin your NEET. I was hesitant in asking doubt\u2019s in 11th and that did cost me some marks in NEET.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Shriyal Prabhudesai (MBBS from AFMC Pune) There will be times when you start an exam and realise that you\u2019re not getting the first 2\u20133 questions. There are two paths you can take from here. You can tell yourself that you don\u2019t know anything and that you are a failure. Or, you can tell yourself that if it\u2019s difficult for you, it must be difficult for everyone. Tell yourself that you\u2019re still in the game. Your temperament decides how difficult the rest of the paper is. If you think you cannot do it, even the easiest of questions will seem difficult. If you think you can do it, even the hardest of questions will seem doable.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Ishan Kapnadak (AIR 228, JEE Advanced 2019) While giving mocks you will notice why you are scoring low (if you are scoring low). It could be due to lot of wrong questions, speed factor, lack of knowledge about questions and under preparation. Whatever the reason may be try to focus on your weak topics and areas and work hard to improve on those areas. With continued efforts in the right direction and patience your JEE Main score will automatically increase.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Abhay Singh (IIT-Guwahati) Self analysis, after the tests, is a very important part of your journey. It lets you think about the concepts that you applied at the time of the exam and also add-ons to your memory, the answers that you got wrong (especially in Biology) and there are least chances of getting a similar question wrong again in the future.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Abhishek Garg (AIR 760 in NEET 2018) The art of option elimination : The most important of all the tips. Do not just run in doing the solution of the question as soon as you see it. First of all see all the options because many times it would happen that you need not solve the problem as the options would be rejected leading to only one correct answer.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Sparsh Agrawal (IIT-Roorkee) The most important questions in NEET are the previous year questions. Do look at them and take a note of questions asked outside NCERT. This would give you a perspective about the type of questions asked in the NEET exam. They are most reliable but not 100% as in entrances, surprises are expected.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Gautam Chellani (AIR 28 in NEET-UG 2019) Stay focused everyday. You must realize your dream and the reason for why you want it so much. Believe me, this will insist you to come out of your comfort zone and work more harder to achieve the long cherished dream.
