As you start getting ready for the NEET exam, remember to watch out for the usual slip-ups that many students make. Avoiding these common mistakes in NEET preparation will help you study better and increase your chances of success. By learning from the experiences of others, you can stay on track and make the most of your preparation time.<\/p>\n

8 Common Mistakes to Avoid in NEET Preparation<\/h2>\n

Here, I am sharing with you some common mistakes to avoid for NEET.<\/p>\n

1. Not clearing the doubts as soon as they popped up in your mind<\/h3>\n

Yes! Never keep your doubt’s pending. They simply keep piling up and disappear into nothingness. You forget your doubts in due course of time and remember however silly it might seem to be, it has a potential to ruin your NEET. I was hesitant in asking doubts in class 11 and that did cost me some marks in NEET. [Clear NEET Doubts Online<\/a>]<\/p>\n

2. Ignoring NCERT textbooks<\/h3>\n

Don’t ever ignore NCERT textbooks, especially in Biology and Inorganic Chemistry. I focused on the coaching books rather than NCERT and to be frank missed out on a few MCQs labeled as silly by my friends and teachers. NCERT is the Quran, Bible, Geeta, everything for NEET aspirants!<\/em><\/p>\n

3. Not making notes in the class<\/h3>\n

I didn’t make notes in class 11 and it drained me of my precious time towards the end, revising everything from the packages. If you have notes, it helps in quick revisions. If not in class, at least make notes after reading the chapter many times. You can extract maximum in minimal time from your notes.<\/p>\n

4. Not revising completed topics and chapters<\/h3>\n

Some students rushing to complete the syllabus fast, miss out on revising the previously learned topics. They face difficulty in remembering all the chapters before the test. It’s important to keep revising the topics regularly in NEET preparation.<\/p>\n

5. Taking coaching scores and ranks too seriously<\/h3>\n

It’s good to learn from the mistakes that you commit in the tests, but don’t take the scores seriously, it either drains you of your confidence or makes you over confident.<\/p>\n

6. Not giving any tests at NEET exam time<\/h3>\n

It will be better if you attempt some tests according to the scheduled time of the NEET exam (2 pm to 5:20 pm). It will help you to be at your best on the NEET exam day.<\/p>\n

7. Indulging in unnecessary activities<\/h3>\n

Don’t indulge in unnecessary activities other than studies for too long. Yes, unnecessary includes everything under the sky that doesn’t contribute to your preparation. Don’t waste your time. In college, you’ll be able to enjoy all the worldly pleasures to the fullest.<\/p>\n

8. Taking too much stress in NEET exam hall<\/h3>\n

The exam hall has a different air! The pressure is bound to come. However, it’s important to stay relaxed. I know it\u2019s easy to say but not easy to act. Try your best to calm yourself in the examination room. More the stress you take, the more mistakes you make.<\/p>\n

That pretty much sums it up. And lastly remember, NEET is not your real goal, it’s just a step towards your ultimate goal that is to become a Doctor. So if you can’t clear it now, don’t lose hope, give it a second shot. Life gives enough opportunities!<\/p>\n
