The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2024 continues to be a subject of intense debate. Allegations of question paper leaks, exam irregularities, and the awarding of “grace marks” to some students have cast a shadow on the process, leading many to ask – will NEET 2024 be held again for all candidates?
Will NEET 2024 Be Conducted Again for All Candidates?
On July 8th, the Supreme Court presented a series of questions to the Union Government and the National Testing Agency (NTA) concerning the specifics of the paper leak and the measures implemented to identify those who benefited from the fraudulent activities. Acknowledging the undeniable occurrence of the paper leak in the NEET-UG exam, the Court emphasized the need to determine whether the leak was widespread or isolated. This distinction is crucial for deciding whether to mandate a NEET 2024 re-test for all candidates.
NEET-UG 2024 was conducted again on June 23, 2024 for those candidates who were awarded grace marks by NTA.
