KVPY Exam Abolished, No KVPY Aptitude Test from 2022

Last Updated : July 18, 2022.

Latest News : As per the update on KVPY IISc website, KVPY exam is dissolved by the Department of Science and Technology and KVPY program is merged with INSPIRE. KVPY aptitude test will not be conducted from 2022 onwards. Ongoing KVPY fellows will continue to receive scholarships.

How will Admission to IISc and IISER happen after the KVPY exam is abolished?

Admission to IISc and IISER Science and Research programs will not be on the basis of KVPY exam but will continue through JEE Main, JEE Advanced and NEET-UG. IISER already conducts its own Aptitude Test (IAT) for admission, IISc may also start a separate entrance exam for admission in BS programs (this is highly unlikely as DST has cited the cost of conducting the KVPY exam as one of the reasons for its discontinuation).
